New features and improvements in Neurolucida Explorer

New Marker to Vessel analysis enables you to explore the spatial relationship between markers and vessels.
Vessels are now included in Polar Histogram for analyzing the direction of vessel growth.
You can now navigate vessel networks by loops.
Maximum and minimum diameter were added to the Segment report in Branched Structure Analysis.
The Individual Network Summary report for vessels now includes the average diameter of each network.
A Colocalization Morphology option was added to Punctum Analyses which reports morphology information on each punctum selected for the colocalization analysis.
New Contact Analysis was added to Spatial options to provide insights into the number of contact points between objects.
Tree Intervals Analysis can now be run when just one tree is present.
Improved the time to report minimum & maximum cross-sectional area in the Punctum details report.
Renamed the Excel tab name for Batch export results enabling Spine details to be displayed.
Selection by point and segment is now available for tree / vessel points and individual tree / vessel segment analyses to provide in depth morphology details of trees and vessels.
Object ID numbers are now reported for spines and puncta analysis reports.
Improvements to the Explore ribbon including:
- New tree and vessel Surface Area visualizations.
- New transparency control for Contact visualization.
- Updated display and legends.

The new Explore ribbon includes a suite of tools for visualizing data using color. You can create heat-map style images of detected/modeled structures in data files that can provide new perspectives on their biological significance.
New Spatial Proximity analysis for somas, trees, vessels and puncta provides insights into the distribution of different object types by calculating nearest neighbor distances.
New Contact analysis for quantifying the number of contact points between trees and/or vessels.
Custom spine classification added to the Dendrite Spines analysis results. Custom spine classifications can be created and assigned when creating data files in Neurolucida or Neurolucida 360.
Updated the minimum and maximum cross-sectional area analyses in Punctum Details analysis.
Added the ability to perform Convex Hull analysis on vessels.
Vessel analyses are now available in Batch export.
Improved the speed of Puncta Details analysis.
Updates to the Closed Surface analysis options

Update to offline software licensing. Due to updates to the Neurolucida Explorer activation process, systems that that do not have access to the internet or have intermittent/unreliable internet access require reactivation. View instructions for offline software activation.

The Sholl analysis can now report the number of puncta, puncta volume and surface area.
Somas were added to the Puncta colocalization analysis.
Puncta nearest neighbor analysis updated to report puncta in all channels.
Puncta Distance from Additional Structures report can now include the spine-type information.
New Terminal Spine Density analysis added.
Fractal Analysis was added to the software.
Distance along branch analysis has been added to the available Punctum analyses.
