12. Image stack acquire

Settings

Acquisition List

The list displays the Section number, contour Region, and Status of the image to be acquired.

Acquisition

Time delay before acquiring each image: This is recommended if there are concerns about vibration. Enter the desired time delay in milliseconds (500 ms is often appropriate).

Multichannel Acquire: Acquire images in more than one color channel.

Click Multichannel setup to view/change the multichannel acquisition settings (see Multichannel setup).

Diagnostic Mode: Turns on the diagnostic record and error list generated by the software; you may want to uncheck the box if you are running low on memory or space on your computer.

Procedure

  1. Adjust settings in the Acquisition section of the workflow window.
  2. Click the Start Acquiring button to start the acquisition.

To stop at any point, click the Stop button.

  3. To acquire regions on additional slides, place the next slide on the stage and click Next slide. Stereo Investigator redirects you to the step in the workflow that will enable you to continue to acquire image stacks.

  • Once the acquisition of the regions on all the slides that can fit on the stage is completed, the Acquire Results are displayed in the workflow, below the button.

After the acquisition

You can count on another system using a Desktop copy of Stereo Investigator or you can purchase a mobile USB license, allowing one person to use Stereo Investigator on your microscope system while another person is using your Stereo Investigator license.
