1. Setup
Subject Information
Type your name, the subject name, and any notes that you want to include.
Sampling Parameters
Use an existing sampling configuration? Choose yes or no to use a previously saved sampling configuration or not.

If yes, click the browse icon.

In the Workflow Configuration Browser window that opens, highlight the configuration you wish to use and click OK.
Enter serial section information

# of sections to count: Enter the number of sections to be sampled, that is, total number of sections through the region divided by the section interval. Note that number is an approximation since the starting section is randomized. You can add sections later in step 3: Region(s) of interest.
- Section cut thickness (Required to move to the next step): Tissue-cut thickness or block advance.
- Section evaluation interval: Interval at which you want to acquire serially cut sections. For example, to acquire images from every other section, enter 2 or enter 3 to capture every third section.

Starting section number: Leave it at 1 (the default) or click Randomize to randomly select the starting section number.
- Z-value of first section:Leave this at 0 (the default) or enter the Z distance if you know it.
