Tools

Purpose

The Tools dropdown menu on the TraceRegistration ribbon includes tools for marking, measuring, viewing and adjusting scaling. These tools were developed based on user requests for time-saving data visualization tricks and addressing common issues (i.e., image scaling correction).

Tool options

Use Depth filter to display a specific Z range in the Orthogonal View window. For more details on how to use this tool, see Depth Filter (Z Filter).
Mark centers automatically places a marker at the centroid of all closed contours or the end point of all open contours. For more information, see Mark centers.
Partition contours places evenly spaced tick marks on open contours to partition them into segments. For detailed instructions, see Partition contours.
Use Adjust XY scaling to change the scaling factor for the X and Y axes. For more information, see Adjust XY scaling.
Use Correct Z shrinkage to apply shrinkage in the X axis to data in file. See Correct Z shrinkage to learn more about this tool.
Contour measurements displays an analysis of all visible contours in the data file. For a detailed description of each type of measurement, see Contour measurements.

Use Colocalize markers to combine two, three, or four markers into one marker for colocalization analyses. For detailed instructions, see Colocalize markers .
