Procedure

  1. Click Partition contours in the Tools dropdown menu on the Registration ribbon.

The tracing window displays an overview of your work so that you can see all of your tracings. White squares are displayed at the ends of all open contours (for selection).

  2. Select an open contour.
  3. In the Partition Contour dialog box, specify the Initial Tick Mark Placement, Subsequent Tick Mark Spacing, and Length of Tick Marks.
  4. Click the ending square of any open contour; preview tick marks will be displayed in white.

You can change the settings in the Partition Contour dialog box if desired; click the ending square of any open contour to preview and repeat as needed until the partitioning meets your requirements.

  5. Click Trace in the Partition Contour dialog box to finalize.

You can‘t undo a Partition Contour; however you can select and delete individual tick marks.
