Region Data

Purpose

Region Data analyses provide reports pertaining to the number, size, distribution and spatial relationships of tissue structures.

These analyses can be accessed the Region Data section of the Analyze ribbon.

Analyses

Marker & Region: Examines the spatial relationship between, and distribution of cells and other structures. It can also provide insight into the size and organization of regions in the tissue.

  • Markers: Provides the quantity, diameter, coordinates, and nearest neighbor distances of selected markers.
  • Locus: Measures the straight-line distance from a preset locus to all of the other markers in the file.
  • Contours: This analysis can provide insight into the size and organization of regions in the tissue. The analyses include length, area, depth, perimeter, centroid, and other metrics for selected contours.
  • Markers and contours: Analyzes the spatial relationship between markers and contours including the number of markers within contours and distances between markers and contour surfaces.

Punctum: Used to determine absolute and relative location of punctum/puncta. Includes reports on puncta number, size metrics, density, colocalization, and distance to other structures.

Colocalization: Reports the number of marker pairs that are within a user-specified distance of each other.

If several analyses are selected at once, several table reports or diagrams are generated. The tables and diagrams can be saved, and exported
