Snapshot

Purpose

The Snapshot tool is designed to quickly capture screen shots of the active viewing window, including any visible portions of an image, markers, contours, scale bars, arrows, and text. Snapshots are a quick and convenient way to capture images for presentation purposes.

Procedures

Where to find the Snapshot tool

  • Image or Publish ribbon the main NeuroInfo window

  • Registration ribbon when in Register section or Register volume mode

  • Button bar in the 3D Visualization window

Taking and storing snapshots

  1. Click Snapshot to capture a screen shot of what is currently displayed onscreen.

  2. What happens next depends on the active NeuroInfo window / where you clicked Snapshot.

    Snapshots captured in:

    • the main NeuroInfo window are displayed on screen and listed in the Image organizer.

      If desired, you can save the snapshot right from the the image organizer panel; click the save button.

      Alternatively, save snapshots by going to File > Save As.

    • the Registration ribbon in registration mode are saved right away (i.e., after having clicked Register Sections or Register Volume).

      After clicking Snapshot, the Save As window opens; provide a filename for the snapshot and the desired location for the file.

    • the 3D Visualization window are saved right away.

      After clicking Snapshot, the Save As window opens; provide a filename for the snapshot and the desired location for the file.
