Virtual Tissue (slide scanning) overview
The Virtual Tissue module (2D or 3D) is used to acquire high-resolution images of slides and tissues.
- A motorized stage is used to acquire a series of individual image tiles. The individual tiles are merged to form a single image montage called a virtual slide.
- Available for single image planes (2D acquisition) and for multiple planes (creating a 3D virtual image stack).
- Virtual slides can be acquired at any magnification.
Before you start, make sure that you have a properly calibrated system to obtain high-quality images.

- Optimizing your workspace for the acquisition
- Tracing the region of interest
- Camera (& multichannel) settings
- Acquiring a background image (Brightfield only)
- Acquisition settings
- Setting up a focus map (2D and 3D images)
- Acquiring & compiling the image
