Saving image montages

There are two methods to save montages: As a single image and as an editable data file.

All the images are combined into one single image. The montage is final; you can no longer edit (move or re-align) the individual images.

The individual image files and the layout structure are saved. You can edit the .DAT file later to modify the image montage.
