Set Z / Set Z to zero

Purpose: Use the Set Z or Set Z to zero button to manually set the current Z-plane value.

Typing in a value to set the Z position:

  1. Click the Set Z button on the Move ribbon, Z Axis section.

  2. In the Current Z Position dialog box that opens, enter a new value, and then click OK.

    The Z Meter will reflect the new Z position.

 

Use ALT+S to set the current position of the Z meter to 0.

Setting the Z position to zero:

  1. Click the Set Z to zero button on the Move ribbon, Z Axis section.
  2. The Z position changes to zero; this will be shown on the Z Meter.
