Slide scanning overview

The workflow is available from the Acquire ribbon bar.

With the slide scanning module (2D or 3D), you can scan at any magnification and create high resolution 2D images or 3D stacks. First, a series of individual image tiles are scanned using a motorized stage. The tiles are then merged to form a single image montage called a virtual slide.

Before you start, make sure that you have a properly calibrated system to obtain high-quality images.

While we recommend that you use the workflow, there might be instances for which you'll need to scan slides using the legacy procedure.
