Preferences: Contours
Purpose
Use Contours preferences to customize names and appearance for your contours, as well as visibility characteristics.
To access the Contour Settings window:

Go to File > Preferences > Tracing > Contours and click
OR

Click the cog icon
in the Contours section of the Registration ribbon in the main window.
Contour settings
You can change some contour properties directly in the table that lists all of the contours:
Contour Name: To change a contour name, click the name (the table cell will become highlighted), then type in the new name. Keep the name under 12 characters.
Color: To change a contour color, double-click the color square next to the contour to open a color-picker. Select the desired color, then click to assign it to the contour (or you can click ).
Hidden: Check the box to hide the contour type.

When a contour type is Hidden, it is not available from the Contour drop-down list in the Trace ribbon.

If you traced contours, then Hidden their contour type, the contours becomes invisible until you unhide them by clearing the checkbox (see also Hidden objects).
Create New Contour :

(optional) Type a name for the new contour into the box that says Contour Name.
- Click The new contour is added to the bottom of the table on the right side of the Contour Settings window.
Buttons
Click to delete a selected contour.
Click to make all hidden contours become visible.
Click to hide all contours.
Highlight a contour type in the table, then click the button to change the contour color (or you can double-click the color box next to the contour name).
Restores the default colors.
