External image source setup
An external image source refers to devices that Microlucida is not configured to control (e.g., laser confocal microscopes).
Use this function to alert the program that you will be loading images from an external image source while controlling the stage using Microlucida software.
Use this functionality to enter image dimensions that will override the dimensions/settings associated with your system configuration. This will enable Microlucida to calculate the external image coordinates and scaling correctly.
- Go to File > Hardware setup > External Image Source.
- In the dialog box:
- Check the Will load images from external source while controlling stage box.
- Enter the image dimensions in pixels.
- Enable acquisition via the external image source:
- If Microlucida is configured for a camera, select Acquire>Capture>Use external.
- If Microlucida does not control the stage, select Acquire>Capture>Prepare external.
- Load your image.
