Organize images in Classrooms

Classrooms are image folders created and managed in Biolucida (Medical Education). They are populated with images initially saved in tracked directories (only accessible to administrators).

To view the content of a Classroom, click its name from the list on the left in the browser.

Creating or managing a Classroom (and access to the toolbar ) requires an Administrator account, or a Viewer account with Maintainer/Full role (see About Biolucida users).

 

ClosedCopying a tracked directory into the Classroom area
  1. Drag the desired folder under Classroom
  2. Drop it in the New Root Classroom field.
  3. If you don't want to make the bookmarks or annotations visible, de-select the check boxes.
ClosedCreating and populating a Classroom
  1. Click the icon in the Classroom toolbar on the left.
  2. Add images to the new Classroom.
    1. To add a single image: Drag the image thumbnail of the desired image to the name of the Classroom on the left.
    2. To add multiple images: 
      1. Select the images by checking the box next to the corresponding image thumbnail.
      2. Drag any one of the selected thumbnails to the name of the Classroom on the left.

There is a potential for a delay (especially with slow or latent internet connections) when copying large images because the copy operation is processed by the Filetracker. There is no need to repeat the copy operation.

ClosedDeleting a Classroom
  1. In the browser, click the name of the Classroom on the left to select it.
  2. Click the Delete button in the Classroom toolbar.

There is a potential for a delay (especially with slow or latent internet connections) when deleting classrooms with a large number of images because deletion is processed by the Filetracker. Deleted collections remain visible until deletion is completed. There is no need to repeat the delete operation.

  1. In the browser, click the name of the Classroom on the left to select it.
  2. Check the box corresponding to the thumbnail of the image you want to delete.
  3. Click the red Delete button.

ClosedRe-ordering the images in a Classroom
  1. In the browser, click the name of the Classroom on the left to select it.
  2. Make sure that Thumbnail view is selected.
  3. Drag the thumbnail of the image you want to re-order to the new position.
  4. Click the green button.

There is a potential for a delay (especially with slow or latent internet connections) when moving large images because the move operation is processed by the Filetracker. There is no need to repeat the move operation.

ClosedAssociating a QuickCode with a specific Classroom
  1. Click the icon in the Classroom toolbar to display the Edit window.
  2. In the Edit window, select a QuickCode from the list.
ClosedMaking the classroom available through the Web viewer
  1. In the browser, click the name of the Classroom on the left to select it.
  2. Click the icon in the Classroom toolbar to display the Edit window.
  3. In the Web Viewer section, select Enabled.
