Import image sequence

Track workflow - step 1

Image sequences are videos or sequences of images previously captured that you use for detecting and tracking.

Videos

You can add AVI, MPG, MPEG, or MOV movie files to WormLab . You can only import multiple sequences to a project.

  1. Click the Import Image Sequence workflow step.
  2. In the Import Sequence dialog box, select a movie file.
  1. Click Open. WormLab loads the movie file as a sequence in a new tab.

Images

You can add TIF, TIFF, JPG, or JPEG images to WormLab . You can add multiple files and you can mix file types.

  1. Click the Import Image Sequence workflow step.
  2. In the Import Sequence dialog box, do one of the following:
  • If the files are listed in order, use the Shift key and the left mouse button to select the desired files.
  • If the files are not in order, use the Ctrl key and the left mouse button to select the desired files in the order in which they should appear in WormLab .
  1. Click Open. WormLab loads the images as a sequence in a new tab.

Video playback controls

Playback buttons: Use the buttons to view the video/image sequence:

Play video/image sequence.
Move backward/forward one video frame/image in sequence.
Move to first/last video frame/image in sequence.

Scroll bar: Use the slider to scroll back and forth through the video/image sequence.

Frame number text box: Located to the left of the scroll bar, the text box displays the current frame number. You may also type in a frame number and hit enter on the keyboard to display a desired frame.

Key frame navigation checkbox: If a video does not scroll smoothly, checking the box may help enable smoother scrolling of videos with variable keyframe intervals.

fps (frames per second) text box: Use the up and down arrows, or type a number into the text box, to select how many frames per second are displayed when the video/image sequence is played.
