Slide scanning: Scan and compile the image

Now that the focus map is set up, you 're ready to scan.

See troubleshooting for brightfield or fluorescence if you have problems.

To obtain the best results, follow the following guidelines during the scan:

Procedure

  1. As the scan begins, Tissue Mapper displays the progress.

    Click Cancel in the progress box at any time to cancel the scan.

  2. The image automatically compiles after the scan has been completed IF compilation hasn't been postponed.
    • If the compilation was postponed (3D only), compile the image later with the Compiler.
    • If Keep image open was selected in the Scanning Options, the image montage is displayed in the image organizer.
    • If Keep Image Open was not selected, open the image manually.

Examine the virtual tissue image upon completion to make sure that the quality is acceptable. For adjustments, return to the scanning settings and try the acquisition again.
