Scale bar (2D and 3D)
Click Scale bar settings on the Publish ribbon to access the scale bar functionalities.
3D scale bar
- To display the scale bar, check Show 3D scale bar.
- To hide an axis, the bounding box, or the grid, uncheck the corresponding box.
- To rename an axis, enter a new name in the name field.
- To change a color, use the color picker boxes.
2D scale bar
To use the scale bar settings, you need to exit the 3D view and select one of the projection views instead. Go to the View ribbon and click XY, XZ or YZ.
Adding the scale bar

Check Show 2D scale bar in 2D Scale Bar Settings.

Adjust scale bar settings:

Scale bar length (µm): Enter the desired length.

Scale bar color: Use the color picker to change the scale bar color.

Show label: Check the box to show the length and units of the 2D scale bar in the display window.

Click Draw scale bar

Click in the tracing window to place the scale bar.
If you're not satisfied with the scale bar location, click Draw scale bar then click in a different location in the window. The scale bar will be displayed in the new location.
If you are exporting an image with a scale bar, make sure to set the scale bar colors to anything but black or white to ensure they remain visible in the exported image.
