Joy Free

Purpose

In Joy-Free mode, the link between images onscreen and data you've traced, such as markers, contours, and structures is broken. Note that enabling Joy-Free mode, disables the tracing functions. To return to tracing, exit Joy Free. Use Joy Free to move the stage to a new section on a slide, when placing a new slide on the stage, or when aligning new sections with previous tracings.

Starting Joy Free

To start Joy Free, click the Joy Free button; it's located in:

• the Navigate section of the Move ribbon

• the Move section of the Trace ribbon

Exiting Joy Free

To exit Joy Free, do one of the following:

• Click the Joy Free button to deselect it.

• Right-click in the Main window and:

  • To disable the joystick, select End Joystick Mode.

  • To switch to Joy Track, select Switch To Joy Track.

When working with acquired image files, Move Image is the equivalent of Joy Free.
