Preferences: Formatting

The Numerical formatting preferences panel provides customization options for measurement units and numerical precision.

Neurolucida software collects size information in microns (µm) and measures angles in degrees; this preference panel provides alternate options for measurement unit display. Similarly, you can choose to display 1‑6 significant digits and standard or scientific notation.

• Measuring units: Use the drop-down menus to choose the units displayed

• Digits of precision: Type in or use the spinner to select the significant digits displayed

• Scientific notation: Check the box to display numbers in scientific notation. Clear the checkbox and the default, standard number display is used.
