Slow focusing
At some zoom levels—typically 25%-50%—it can take a long time to focus through extremely large images.
Image navigation in Biolucida is dependent on image compression and the speed, availability, and saturation of the local network and internet.
What can I do?
- The Movement Resolution option may be set too high for this specific image and network connection. Use the Tools>Viewer Options>Image tab and move the slider toward the left (Speed).
- Use the Load Stack Region tool to speed up focusing through a specific region of interest.
