Visualizing and navigating in 3D

Use your mouse and the commands included in the View ribbon:

Rotating

Drag the mouse to rotate.

To use a specific structure as the rotation axis, use the pivot point.

  1. Click the icon.
  2. Click the desired branch to assign the pivot point to that branch.
  3. Drag the mouse to rotate around the new pivot point.

To spin a stack to a different orientation, click the 2D rotation icon then drag.

Zooming

Scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

Panning/shifting

To shift in 3D view, hold down SHIFT and drag the mouse.

To shift using one of the projection views: drag the mouse.

Returning to the original orientation of the original images or image stack

Click the icon.

Showing/hiding line thickness

To show or hide the thickness of the lines used to trace (i.e., recorded thickness), click

Some vessels are not visible. What can I do?

It is likely that the vessels you can't see have a very thin diameter. When you zoom out in 3D, the diameter might be too small to be visible.

To display the vessels:

  1. Select the vessels from the Traced Structures panel on the left.
  2. In the View ribbon, click the Thickness button to select the option. The vessel will show as a centerline instead.
