Calibration overview
A properly calibrated system is essential for successful and efficient software use. Follow our guidelines carefully to ensure proper system function (PDF).
Equipment
- A microscope system (camera, stage, objectives, computer, etc.)
- Calibration grid slide
- The latest software version
- Optional: Allen wrenches for aligning camera and Stage.
Before you start...
- Turn on the microscope system and the computer.
- Start the program.
- Load the calibration grid slide onto the stage.
Overview of the calibration process
- Add and tighten the objectives:
- Tighten all the objectives by hand to make sure they have not come loose.
- Add any new objectives to the microscope BEFORE calibrating the system.
- Verify that camera and stage are aligned.
- Calibrate lenses with calibration grids.
- Perform parcentric/parfocal calibration.
- Check the accuracy of the calibration.
