Slide Loader setup 6: Auto-contour scan region

Define a rectangular region of the slide that will contain the region of interest in each slide.

The Define Auto-contour region button is only available the first time you use the workflow; Redefine Auto-contour region replaces Define Auto-contour region after that.

First time using the workflow

1. Click Define Auto-contour region.
2. Drive the stage to the upper left of the region to scan and click once to set the upper left corner of the region.
3. Drive the stage to the lower right and click once to set the lower right corner of the region.

If your region covers most of the slide, you probably won't have to define the region again.

4. Once the region is defined, click Acquire Auto-contour Region; Stereo Investigator performs the acquisition of the 2D image.

To preview the region's definition

• Click View Upper Left of Region to drive the stage so that the upper left corner of the region you defined is in the center of the live image.
• Click View Lower Right of Region to drive the stage so that the lower right corner of the region you defined is in the center of the live image.
