Combination markers combine 2, 3, or 4 markers into one marker. Use combination markers for labeling cells and structures that were prepared with two or more staining methods. See Double Label Analysis in Neurolucida Explorer for an alternative method.
Trace all trees and contours before using combination markers.
If the circular cursor doesn't include all the regular markers, clicking results in placing a combination marker without replacing the regular markers.
After placing combination markers, the marker totals (also referred to as Marker Summary in the toolbar) is updated to reflect the quantity changes.
Keep this in mind when conducting analyses in Neurolucida Explorer.
