Working with Combination Markers

1. Right-click in the Markers toolbar and select Define Combination Marker.
2. In the Define Combined Marker window:
   1. Click a marker from the top grid to select it. This combination marker will represent 2 or more markers.
   2. Select up to 4 markers from the lower grid. These markers will be replaced by the combination marker when you place the combination marker.
3. Click Apply if you want to define more combination markers; click Apply and Close if you are done defining combination markers.

1. Place regular markers as appropriate in your tracing.
   • Use the markers you selected in the lower grid when defining combination markers.
2. Right-click in the Markers toolbar and select Enable Combination Markers.
3. Examine the markers you have placed to determine when the markers are sufficiently close to represent double labeling of the same structure.
4. When you've identified an instance of double labeling, place a combination marker.
   1. Adjust the size of the circular cursor to include all the markers to be combined.
   2. Click the combination marker in the Markers toolbar to select it.
   3. Click over the markers you want to combine; the markers are replaced with the combination marker.

   If the circular cursor doesn't include all the regular markers, clicking results in placing a combination marker without replacing the regular markers.

After placing combination markers, the marker totals (also referred to as Marker Summary in the toolbar) is updated to reflect the quantity changes.
