Multichannel image acquisition

Use this functionality to acquire fluorescent and false colored images.

  1. Live image mode is on and the device command sequences necessary for each channel are defined.
  2. Configure your system for a multichannel acquisition. See "Automating the Multichannel Acquisition Process"
  3. Click Acquire>Acquisition Tool Panels>Show all to open the tool panels used during the acquisition.
  4. The Multichannel Control tool panel displays the channels configured in Step 2.
  5. Optional : Click Setup to review the channel's settings.

    1. Check the Remember Video Settings checkbox.
    2. Click the device command sequence button for the first channel; adjust the exposure in the camera settings until a full balanced histogram is achieved.
    3. Click the device command sequence for the next channel; adjust the exposure in the camera settings until a full balanced histogram is achieved.
    4. Click the device command sequence for the last channel; adjust the exposure in the camera settings until a full balanced histogram is achieved.

      The program has "memorized" the camera settings for each channel and is ready to apply them for acquisition.

    5. Click Acquire >Capture>Enable multichannel.
      • The program performs the acquisition tasks defined for the first channel.
      • You may be prompted to adjust the camera settings. Click OK.
      • The program performs the acquisition tasks for the other channels defined.
