Diagnostic data transfer

Context

The first time that you open Neurolucida Explorer software, a window will open that asks you to allow us to transfer diagnostic data.

• Click the button to indicate whether you Allow or Don't allow data transfer each time that you open Neurolucida Explorer software.

About diagnostic data transfer

We use the information transferred to enhance technical-support capabilities and to assist with software licensing.

Your choice will not affect the function of Neurolucida Explorer software.

• You can change this setting at any time in Preferences. Go to File > Preferences > General. You can click the Diagnostic data-sharing settings button to open the dialog where you can choose to Allow or Don't allow data transfer from Neurolucida Explorer.

Data transfer

If you choose to Allow diagnostic data transfer, the following information will be sent to Neurolucida Explorer each time that you open Neurolucida Explorer software:

Software information

• Neurolucida Explorer software authorization method (dongle or license key)

• License key

• Authorized software modules

• Neurolucida Explorer software version

Computer information

• IP address (ipv4 and ipv6)

• Service tag or serial number

• Number of CPU cores

• Amount of RAM

• Video card model and amount of VRAM

• Timezone
