Using Pre-load current view for fast focusing

Focusing may be slow or even interrupted because, by default, Biolucida (Research) loads new image data every time you move to a different plane. To minimize this problem, use the Pre-load current view tool to load every image plane in the stack at the highest possible quality prior to focusing.

1. Zoom to the highest magnification available onto your region of interest.
2. Click the Wrench icon to display more tools.
3. Click the icon to load every image plane.
4.  Biolucida (Research) displays the Load Stack Region dialog box.

   Biolucida (Research) loads from the top of the stack downwards, and keeps loading planes until the bottom of the stack is reached or until you click Stop.

   • Click Start to load the rest of the stack / Click Close to close the dialog box.
